The Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics and Turbomachinery (FMTULAB) belongs to the Department of Mechanical Engineering Educators of the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPETE) of Athens.

The laboratory offers a broad range of undergraduate courses and conducts research into both fundamental and applied areas of fluid dynamics, aerodynamics and turbomacinery.

High quality standards  and practices are utilized in engineering education while the school responds to modern educational trends in European and International level.

FMTULAB has established academic and industrial partnerships promoting unified approaches between educational institutions and the private sector promoting the design of clean and energy efficient configurations.

Aiming to bridge the gap between education, research and entrepreneurship, the laboratory focus on the continuous improvement of the educational programme in order to capitalize the existing knowledge, demonstrate the benefits of research and give the opportunity to future engineers to gain experiences towards up-to-date problems, advanced measuring systems and modern computational tools.
